Opo drop point 1:2842 steel. This knife was made for one of the world's top mountain men, Stani Groeneweg. Used by him professionally for 7 years (and by used I mean abused). It has been to all the major environments men lives in, from desert, to arctic to jungle and much more. First picture is when it was delivered, the second picture was taken 7 years later right after a survival course in Scotland run by Bear Grylls.
A profesionlly used knife as Stani's opo cannot be a knife that will last a life time considering the way the knife is used and abused. Stani requested a new replacement knife to be made for him. I insisted that he had the experience of making his own billet of laminated random pattern welded steel. This resulted in a billet of steel being made into a Commander clip point: Commander #29 in the performance knives section. This knife has surpassed the abilities and use of his first knife the Opo drop point. Laminated carbon damast (pattern welded) is the ultimate cutting edge.
